From colonial patterns to regenerative practices, through a healing-centered lens.
Many of the ways we lead, meet, decide, and hold space were shaped by colonial histories. They live in our families, our cultures, our organizations, and our nervous systems. Weaving New Ways is a gentle, honest way to see these patterns, meet what they have been protecting, and choose again, on our own and together.
A Note on Accessibility
This online version leans on reading, writing, and quiet reflection on a screen. That works for some of us and not for others. Many of us make sense of things by talking, moving, drawing, listening, or being with others, and reading on a screen can take a lot of energy. If this format does not fit how you process, that says nothing about you. It is a limitation of this version. Take what helps and leave the rest. You can pause anytime, write a single word, or simply sit with a question. The cards and facilitated sessions offer other ways in.
Why this work
Patterns we inherited and keep on repeating
Colonization is not only behind us. It lives in our structures, relationships, language, and bodies. It shows up in who speaks first, whose knowledge counts, and who gets the credit. Patterns live in many layers: personal, family, community, organization, and wider systems.
Many of these patterns began as protection. Urgency kept people safe in systems that punished slowness. Control kept things from falling apart. So we meet them with curiosity instead of shame, and we still take responsibility for what they cost.
“Many times trauma in a person decontextualized over time can look like personality. Trauma in a family decontextualized over time can look like family traits; trauma decontextualized in a people over time can look like culture, and it takes time to slow it down so you can begin to discern what’s what.”

From Colonial Patterns to Regenerative Practices
A mirror for the patterns we inherited.
A mirror doesn't grade us or try to fix us. It reflects what is already there, including what is hard to see on our own. Reflect as yourself, or as your team or organization, and see where regenerative practice already lives and where new ground is waiting.
Private. Nothing you choose is shared. Download your MIRROR when you finish.
Notice where you are
Move through 36 shifts, one at a time. For each one, choose where you are now: New to me, Exploring, Practicing, or Rooted in me.
See your mirror
See all your answers at a glance. Tap any pattern to learn why it made sense and which protective parts may be holding it in place.
Explore and keep
Choose up to three patterns to explore more deeply, pick one practice for each, and download your PDF to come back to.
For coaches and facilitators
You are welcome to take this self-assessment yourself and to share the link freely with friends, colleagues, clients, teams, and communities. It works well before a first session, as a shared language for the patterns we inherited, or as an opening for a team conversation.
Please share the link and don't charge for access. If you would like to build it into a paid program, workshop, or training, please get in touch first.
For teams and organizations
Bring this work to your team
Many leaders look in the mirror first, then wonder what their team would see. That is a good place to begin. We start with your own mirror, then prepare how to bring it to your team so it feels like an invitation, not a test. Then I hold the space while your team looks together, and we tend to what you notice over time.
Your mirror, with me
We go through your self-assessment together: the patterns you noticed and the protective parts in you that may be holding them in place.
Preparing to bring it
We plan how to invite your team, how you can share your own patterns first, and what you are ready to hear from them.
Your team looks together
Your team completes the self-assessment, and I guide a session to review the results together. You participate as a team member, not as the expert.
Tending and returning
We choose practices to try, I support you along the way, and after a few months, your team takes the self-assessment again to see what has changed.

The Weaving New Ways Toolkit
For facilitators, coaches, and teams who want to carry this work on their own: the Weaving New Ways practice cards, a facilitator guide, the self-assessment, and a one-page overview of all twelve areas and thirty-six shifts.
The toolkit gives teams a shared, gentle language to name patterns that are often felt but rarely spoken, without blame or shame. With practices for one person, for pairs and for whole groups, it helps new ways of meeting, deciding and caring for each other take root in everyday work.
Would you like to hear when it is ready? Write to me and I will let you know.
